Wedding Tips & Tricks

Hi everyone! After spending the last 2 years planning my wedding, I wanted to share some helpful tips and tricks that I used for anyone else that might be in a similar situation! I hope that these tips help you whenever it is time for your special day!

Tip #1- Create a wedding website

One of the most helpful things for me was creating a wedding website using theknot.com. This seriously was a lifesaver when it came to staying organized and having all of the information posted for guests to be able to find. The knot allowed me to not only post information for guests to be able to access but I was also able to link our registry and have guests RSVP through our website. If guests clicked on the registry tab, there was a link to each website that we were registered at for them to find easily. Once they clicked on the link, it would take them to our page on each specific site we were registered at. This made it easy for guests to be able to find the registry. One of my favorite features of using the knot.com was that guests RSVP’d directly on our wedding website. I put in each and every person that we invited so guests could find their name, RSVP and select their meal choice through the site. This was also a way that I saved money by not having to send out RSVP cards and stamps with my wedding invitations. The Knot also gave me a timeline that I could check off for what I needed to do by certain dates to ensure that I had everything taken care of on time for our wedding. I can’t say enough good things about using theknot.com for my wedding. I will link our wedding website here!

Tip #2- Etsy

Etsy was my go to for anything that I needed for our wedding. I ordered editable programs and signs, my ring box, our cake topper and a few other things through Etsy. I love that Etsy is customizable and you are helping out small businesses so its a win, win! I have never had any issues with anything that I have ordered from Etsy and I love the personal touches that I was able to add to my wedding with the items that I bought off Etsy. One of my favorite things that I got from Etsy was the digital download to the programs that we had on our reception table. I will link all of the things I got from Etsy below!

Tip #3- Use a Cricut

I used my Cricut so much when planning my wedding. I was lucky enough to have been gifted a Cricut for Christmas but if you don’t have a Cricut maybe ask around and see if anyone you know would let you borrow one because it help me so much with my wedding and saved me so much money! I used my Cricut to address every single one of my invitations, create my welcome sign, create my table numbers, make my bridesmaid gifts and so much more. Using a Cricut allowed me to “DIY” so many items for my wedding that I would have had to pay to have done if I didn’t have one. I had so much fun making these items for my wedding and I loved the way that each item turned out!

Tip #4- Relax and Have Fun!

Planning a wedding can be super stressful but try not to forget to enjoy the planning process! The time between getting engaged and your wedding day flies by no matter how long of an engagement you have. I absolutely loved every second of planning my wedding and everything turned out exactly how I hoped it would and I truly felt like I got to enjoy planning my wedding and my wedding day!
