If you’re from Upstate NY like we are, then you might be used to the freezing temperatures and snow covered ground. The winter months can be long, cold and a bit annoying for many people. However, we have compiled a list of all of our favorite products to use in the winter that make these chilly months a little more bearable. Everything from shoes to skincare that make it much easier to brave the cold.
Our #1 priority in the winter is to stay comfortable and warm. We have linked some of our favorite products that keep you cozy and cute at the same time. We also know that the crisp air in the winter can create problems with dry skin. We have listed some moisturizers that are great for tackling problems with dehydrated skin. All of these products are so helpful for surviving the chilly winter.
When going out in the winter, a comfortable hat will keep you warm and is a great way to add some accessories in to your outfit. One of our all time favorite winter hats is a Carhartt Beanie. They are so warm, cute and come in a bunch of different colors. Another great option are the Love Your Melon hats. They are a little bit more pricey but they have an amazing mission statement. A nice, cosy beanie is a must-have for the winter.
The winter can be a tough time if you have dry skin. However, a good facial moisturizer can make all the difference. One of our favorites is the Tatcha Water Cream Moisturizer. It is very hydrating and does a great job at getting rid of that dry skin. Another one of our favorites is the CeraVe Facial Moisturizing Lotion.
We’re not sure about you, but the winter can be extremely tough for our hands. If you have cracked, dry skin try out the Vaseline Cocoa Radiant lotion. It is for dry skin but doesn’t leave you hands feeling greasy. Another great option is the Target duplicate of that lotion. The Up & Up Extra Radiance Body Lotion. Either way, having a good hand and body moisturizer is a must-have in your winter survival kit!
When the ground is snow-covered and slushy, a durable pair of boots is definitely necessary. Our favorites are the Sperry Duck Boots and they are having a Semi-Annual Sale right now if you’re looking for a new pair! They have good traction, they are warm and they keep your feet from getting wet. They go perfect with a nice pair of cabin socks!
Along with having a good moisturizer, having a good lip balm is also essential. The chilly wind can create chapped lips so having a lip balm with you at all times is a good idea. We recommend the Burt’s Bees Lip Balm. It is very hydrating and keeps your lips from getting dry. Another great option is the EOS Lip Balm. We never leave home without a good lip balm!
There’s nothing better than coming inside after being out in the frigid air and having a nice cup of piping hot tea. Our favorite is the Trader Joe’s Well Rested Herbal Tea. It is perfect to have right before bed on those chilly winter nights and tastes delicious as well! Another great option is the Celestial Seasonings Sleepytime Lavender Tea. Whatever flavor you prefer, a cup of tea is perfect for winter, and full of antioxidants too!
No matter what you’re doing, a comfy pair of socks is an absolute necessity in the winter time. If you’re looking for a pair of soft and warm cabin socks, try out the Field & Stream Cabin socks. They are perfect for lounging around the house or wearing under your favorite pair of boots!
We know that the winter can be long and cold, but hopefully these products will help make these next couple off months more bearable for you. The cold temperatures can always be made better with a comfy pair of socks and a cute beanie. The dry skin that the chilly wind causes is no match for a quality moisturizer and lip balm. We hope that you can try out some of these products and they can make your winter a little bit warmer! XOXO
